Konya Elevator Manufacturer: Capacity, Lead Times and Certification

Konya Elevator Manufacturer: Capacity, Lead Times and Certification

A Konya elevator manufacturer answering the questions buyers actually ask: how much can you build, how fast can you ship it, what is it certified to, and what do you need from me to quote. With figures rather than adjectives.

When an international buyer searches for a Konya elevator manufacturer, the question behind the search is rarely academic. It is a procurement question: who can build a complete lift system to my project's dimensions, certify it for my market, ship it to my port, and answer the phone when my installation team has a problem.

This page answers that question with figures rather than adjectives.

Why Konya became an elevator production centre

Konya is one of Turkey's principal elevator manufacturing clusters. The reason is supply chain density rather than any single large factory: cabin sheet metal, door mechanisms, guide rails, control panels, buttons and safety components are produced within the same industrial district, often within a few kilometres of one another.

For a buyer this has one practical consequence. A manufacturer in Konya can source a missing component in days rather than weeks, which is why lead times from the city are usually shorter than the length of the component list would suggest. It also means a manufacturer can economically build a single non-standard cabin, because the workshop next door can cut a single non-standard panel.

Three of these figures are related, and the relationship is worth stating because it shows the capacity is real rather than aspirational. At 3,600 complete packages per year the plants produce roughly 300 sets per month, or about fourteen complete elevators per working day. The landing door figure of 36,000 per year divides by 3,600 packages to give ten doors per package — consistent with buildings of around ten stops, which is the mid-rise project this capacity is built to serve.

Control panel output runs well above package output. That is deliberate: panels are sold as a separate component line to installers and to other manufacturers, not only consumed internally.

What a complete package includes

A complete package elevator covers the cabin, automatic landing and car doors, guide rails, traction machine, controller and control panel, buttons and indicators, safety gear, overspeed governor, buffers, ropes and the counterweight frame — supplied as a single shipment with installation drawings.

The advantage of buying the package from one manufacturer is not primarily price. It is that responsibility for fit is undivided. When a cabin, a door and a controller come from three suppliers, an interface problem on site becomes a three-way discussion; when they come from one, it becomes a warranty claim.

How to evaluate any Konya manufacturer

Not every company using the phrase "Konya elevator manufacturer" occupies the same position in the supply chain. Some are producers, some are assemblers, some are traders. Four questions separate them — and each is answered below for Nazar Elevator rather than left rhetorical.

1. What do you actually manufacture, and where?

Nazar Elevator manufactures cabins, automatic doors, control panels and revision sets in its own facilities: 2,500 m² in Konya and 3,000 m² in İzmir. Cabins, doors and panels are produced in-house on CNC, laser cutting and powder coating lines. Traction machines, guide rails and safety components are sourced from established European and international manufacturers and supplied as part of the package.

2. What is your production capacity?

3,600 complete packages, 3,600 cabins and 36,000 landing doors per year, plus more than 1,000 control panels per month. Capacity matters to a buyer for one reason: it determines whether your order is a priority or an interruption.

3. What are your quality credentials?

The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 by QACS International, a certification body accredited by IAS (USA). Elevator cabins and landing doors carry TSE certification from the Turkish Standards Institution.

Complete lift systems are CE marked under the Lifts Directive 2014/33/EU, assessed against the harmonised standards EN 81-20 and EN 81-50. Self-declaration is not permitted for lifts under that Directive: conformity assessment is carried out by a notified body, whose four-digit identification number appears alongside the CE mark on the Declaration of Conformity supplied with each installation. Ask for that document, and for the certificate references, from any supplier you are comparing — including this one.

4. Can you build to my shaft, not to your catalogue?

Shaft dimensions in real buildings are rarely ideal. Low pit, reduced headroom, narrow shaft, out-of-plumb walls in modernisation projects and non-standard cabin depths for hospital stretchers are routine rather than exceptional requests. The custom lead time of six to seven weeks against four for a standard package is the honest measure of what customisation costs in time.

Lead times and shipping

Standard package elevators ship four weeks from order confirmation. Packages requiring custom engineering — non-standard dimensions, special cabin finishes, unusual door configurations — ship in six to seven weeks.

The primary port of loading is Mersin, on Turkey's Mediterranean coast, which serves destinations across the Middle East, North Africa and East Africa with short sea transits. Loading from any other Turkish port can be arranged on request, which matters when a buyer's freight forwarder has a fixed routing through İzmir, Istanbul or İskenderun.

A lead time quoted by a factory is only useful if it is measured from the same point as a competitor's. Ours runs from order confirmation with approved drawings — not from receipt of enquiry.

What we need to quote your project

A quotation that arrives quickly and holds its price depends on the completeness of the enquiry. For any lift project we need:

  • Capacity in kilograms or persons, and rated speed
  • Number of stops and travel height
  • Clear shaft dimensions (width × depth), pit depth and headroom
  • Door type, opening width and opening direction
  • Building type and use — residential, office, hospital, hotel, industrial
  • Destination country, supply voltage and frequency
  • Machine room or machine-room-less arrangement
  • Any certification the destination market requires beyond CE

Buyers who send this list receive a technical offer rather than a price range.

Frequently asked questions

Where is Nazar Elevator located?

Nazar Elevator operates two production facilities in Turkey: 2,500 m² in Konya, at Fevzi Çakmak Mah., KOSGEB Cad. No: 77/1, Karatay, and 3,000 m² in İzmir. The company was founded in 2002 and employs between 51 and 200 people.

What is Nazar Elevator's production capacity?

3,600 complete package elevators per year in both machine-room and machine-room-less configurations, 3,600 cabins, 36,000 landing doors, and more than 1,000 control panels per month.

How long does an elevator order take?

Four weeks for a standard package, measured from order confirmation with approved drawings. Six to seven weeks where custom engineering is required.

Which port do you ship from?

Mersin is the primary port of loading. Shipment from any other Turkish port can be arranged if the buyer's freight forwarder requires it.

What does a complete package elevator include?

Cabin, automatic landing and car doors, guide rails, traction machine, controller and control panel, buttons and indicators, safety gear, overspeed governor, buffers, ropes and counterweight frame, supplied with installation drawings.

Can you manufacture non-standard cabin sizes?

Yes. Non-standard shaft dimensions, reduced pit and headroom, hospital stretcher depths and custom finishes are standard work rather than exceptions. Custom projects add two to three weeks to the four-week standard lead time.

Do you supply components separately?

Yes. Cabins, automatic doors, control panels and revision sets are supplied as separate component lines to installers and other manufacturers, not only as part of complete packages.

What certifications do your products carry?

The quality management system is certified to ISO 9001 by QACS International, accredited by IAS (USA). Cabins and landing doors carry TSE certification. Complete lift systems are CE marked under the Lifts Directive 2014/33/EU against EN 81-20 and EN 81-50, with the notified body identification number shown on the Declaration of Conformity issued for each installation.
