Arkel ARCUBE Monoblock Lift Control Unit
ARCUBE combines the VVVF drive, the control board and the rescue function in one monoblock unit for up to 16 stops and 1.75 m/s, in four power classes from 4 to 11 kW.
Description
ARCUBE is Arkel’s monoblock lift control unit. The VVVF drive, the control board, the rescue function and the remaining electrical components sit in a single enclosure rather than in a conventional panel built up from separate parts.
Where it fits
ARCUBE is sized for ordinary residential and small commercial buildings: up to 16 stops, 1.75 m/s, duplex group control and four power classes from 4 kW (10 A) to 11 kW (26 A). Larger or faster installations move to ARCODE, which covers 64 stops, 4 m/s and groups of eight. ARMAXX is the option when the UPS and battery should live inside the unit as well.
Three versions
The base ARCUBE works with synchronous and asynchronous machines, in open or closed loop, with single- or double-button collective control. ARCUBE MRL and ARCUBE Slim MRL are specified for gearless machine room-less installations, run closed loop only, use down or full collective control, and add re-levelling and door pre-opening through integrated relays. ARCUBE Slim MRL measures 2,100 × 250 × 210 mm, which is what makes it fit beside a landing door frame.
Drive and safety
The motor drive is contactorless with an STO function, so the motor circuit is interrupted electronically instead of by power contactors. Rollback at start is prevented by pre-torque and anti-rollback functions. Car position comes from magnetic switches or from the motor encoder, and shaft wiring can be serial or parallel with ARCODE-compatible landing and car operating panels. Door bridging is available. The product is built to EN 81-20. Nazar Elevator supplies ARCUBE as a component and inside complete elevator systems.
Technical Specifications
Frequently Asked Questions
Sixteen, at up to 1.75 m/s, with duplex group control. Beyond that the unit to specify is ARCODE, which covers 64 stops and 4 m/s.
The base ARCUBE accepts synchronous and asynchronous machines in open or closed loop. Both MRL versions are for gearless machine room-less installations, run closed loop, use down or full collective control and add re-levelling and door pre-opening. Slim MRL is the narrow enclosure at 2,100 × 250 × 210 mm.
The motor circuit is interrupted by the drive’s Safe Torque Off function rather than by power contactors. Fewer moving contacts means fewer wear parts in the safety chain.
It follows the machine, not the building alone: 4 kW (10 A), 5.5 kW (14 A), 7.5 kW (17 A) or 11 kW (26 A). Send the motor data with the enquiry and the class is fixed from it.
