CSAG LII Gearless Elevator Traction Machine

CSAG-LII is a CSAG permanent-magnet synchronous gearless elevator traction machine designed for efficient, low-noise traction in modern lift systems. With 2:1 suspension, 400 mm traction sheave and S5-40% duty rating, it supports reliable elevator operation with precise inverter control. The machine is suitable for machine-room and machine-roomless elevators and can be specified for passenger elevators, MRL systems, villa elevators or public-use projects according to the selected model and project data sheet. The compact gearless architecture reduces mechanical losses and eliminates gearbox oil, supporting smoother ride comfort, lower maintenance requirements and improved energy performance. Final motor selection should always be confirmed according to cabin capacity, counterweight ratio, rope/belt layout, travel height, speed, controller and local lift code requirements.

What is a belt-driven gearless machine?

The CSAG CSAG-LII is a belt-driven gearless elevator traction machine. Instead of steel wire ropes it uses flat coated-steel or polyurethane belts, which allow a much smaller sheave diameter and therefore a more compact machine.
