What is a belt-driven gearless machine?
The Monadrive MGD100 is a belt-driven gearless elevator traction machine. Instead of steel wire ropes it uses flat coated-steel or polyurethane belts, which allow a much smaller sheave diameter and therefore a more compact machine.
Belt-driven machines are used in machine roomless (MRL) elevators and home lifts where shaft space is tight and a low-profile drive unit is required. Nazar Elevator supplies the Monadrive MGD100 to elevator contractors and distributors worldwide.
