The Car Operating Panel (COP) is the control panel located inside the elevator cabin that allows passengers to select floors, open and close doors, request emergency assistance, and access other elevator functions. A well-designed COP includes floor buttons, emergency call button, door open/close buttons, overload indicator, and in accessibility-compliant installations, Braille markings. COPs are available in a wide range of finishes to match the cabin interior design.
