The elevator controller is the brain of the elevator system — a microprocessor-based electronic unit that manages all aspects of elevator operation, including dispatching, floor sequencing, door timing, speed profiles, safety monitoring, and fault diagnostics. Modern controllers use programmable logic and can be integrated with building management systems (BMS). Controllers are programmed with specific parameters for the installation and communicate with the drive (inverter) and all safety devices in real time.
